Prescription Advocacy Solution

Our program is a non-insurance solution that works in concert with the PBM and provides dedicated advocates to help procure high-cost medications often directly from the manufacturer or through mail order pharmacy partners.
The program focuses on high-cost maintenance meds, specialty meds, infusion therapies, and drugs that treat orphan conditions, which represent about 60% – 75% of the overall Rx spend on a health plan but are only affecting about 5% or less of the members in the group.
The advocates are led by a Director of Advocacy Services and a Pharmacist with years of experience in the patient assistance space. They move rapidly to help identify the best source for procurement of the high-cost medications for members. Whether it is a diabetic medication such as Bydureon or Apidra, or a specialty medication such as Humira or Cosentyx, or orphan drug such as Spinraza, they go to great lengths to help members get the access they need.

How it works:

The program is managed on a proprietary member self-service portal that is simple to use and allows our advocates to engage quickly on behalf of the member.
Any employee or dependent in need of a targeted medication are sent a welcome email to begin the on-boarding process. Once their account profile is created, they answer a few questions that takes 3-5 minutes to complete. Within 48 hours, their advocate will identify the optimal access point for the medication and make outreach to the member and their doctor. From there, we do all the heavy lifting on working to get the medication filled as quick as possible.
